How do you show appreciation to someone for giving you a career? How do you express your gratitude to them for a life-changing opportunity? Somehow, just saying “Thank You” is not enough.
Kanale Creations, my small business, celebrates two decades in operation this month. Twenty years went by fast and this big anniversary crept up on me. I didn’t really have anything big or special planned. But what was placed on my heart was to use this opportunity to thank those who made this milestone possible.
Thank you to:
My Lord and savior Jesus Christ – for salvation, and for placing these people in my life in the right place along my journey, at the right time
My parents – for their example and encouragement
My wife – for getting me into photography
George – for showing me how to hold a camera
‘Syko’ – for showing what a camera can do
Barbara Lindsey – for giving me the opportunity to use my camera
The staff of the Los Angeles Black Business Expo – for that continued opportunity
Isidra Person-Lynn – for encouraging me to take my camera along…and for turning me into a journalist
Christa – for allowing me to pay it forward
Jim and Jimmy Scimonetti and family – for opening your home, your store…and for Cannonball
THANK YOU!! For without your instruction, generosity, guidance, correction, patience, and example, Kanale Creations would not exist. I am eternally grateful. I have gone places I never would’ve dreamed of going. I’ve met people I never would have dreamed of meeting. It’s been a fantastic ride and I’m looking forward to many more years in business!
